Our Spiritual Path and Acceptance
Today the topic, at least to start off with will be points of view and where we are on our chosen spiritual paths. It is difficult to separate ourselves from our egoist thoughts. Spirit (soul) vs. Ego is constant, and though both are necessary, the long range hope is to move to more Spirit, as that is what we will be when we pass to the next dimension. Every person alive, past and present, was or is at their own spiritual level with lessons to learn. Those lessons are not the same for all, in fact, are unique to each, and judging another’s path or anything about them will be erroneous. Acceptance is key, of other’s earthly journeys and our own. Even those closest to us are on a different path, though some aspects will intertwine, especially with those we are in contact with the most. The dangerous part is in the comparison or viewing of another’s path. Each of us has only our own path to view and work with, we cannot see, nor do we have any real insight into anyone else’s. Even making suggestions about another’s way is fraught with mistakes and misplaced advice. This is a hard lesson for all of us. Let me give an example: I am slowly coming to grips with some of the aspects of Spirit, but ONLY for myself. This can’t be stated enough. What is right for me, or anyone, is not necessarily right for another. We have designed our time on earth to have certain experiences, and from those we will make decisions and take action or not. The growth in Spirit will come from those decisions and lessons. How we react is up to us and will lead to our advancement. We cannot control another’s growth, we cannot do anything for another’s growth except be supportive and educate. We cannot force awareness, we simply cannot. Thinking we can is completely in the realm of ego. It is the same for believing you can change a person. Nope. Not really. You may help them change some outward signs, but you won’t change the person, only they can do that. Ego tells us we can do so many things that in reality we cannot do. Not that amazing things can’t or won’t be accomplished, but inner spirituality is up to each of us. The best we can do to help others is by setting an example. Actions speak louder than words. Talking is like wind. Sometimes useful, sometimes noisy, sometimes too much, sometimes very calm. But ultimately, empty. Moving air.
So why am I writing about all of this? What makes me think I have enough knowledge to share? Is my ego telling me to spread out my “wisdom” to the world? Is it wisdom at all? Is this stuff even correct? I don’t know for sure, but it is interesting, and so far, has been useful for me. New concepts have been coming through and I’ve found them to be truthful for myself, anyway. And what about creating a Spirit-based website? Don’t I have enough websites? This will make about five or six along with several Facebook pages. Yikes. Too much ego? Maybe, but I still feel drawn to these actions. The website idea isn’t being developed to sell anything. Many, if not most of the spiritual sites have books or services for sale. People do need to make a living, that is true. I don’t have that in mind, but when I do release the book I will make that available through the site, of course. May also put some music on the site, could be fun.
